Impression Very Fine. Skillfully executed "bokashi" shading; highly detailed carving, crisp lines.
Printing of 12-14 impressions required Japanese paper produced by Ichibei Iwano, a Living National Treasure.
Condition Excellent. Strong colors.
Reference/Illus Not (yet) in Hotei's 600-page "Complete Hasui" reference. Beyond 2 "trial-prints" we've discovered, this block-set was never published 1939-47 -- "sleeping" the past 79 years.
Comments Beautiful mountain temple snowscene from Hasui's 1939 trip to Korea. Never before seen -- this First/Limited Edition 2018 printing is an Ukiyoe-Gallery exclusive.
