Comments |
A strikingly beautiful portrait of Japan's widely popular
singer and actress Hibari Misora (1937-89). Declared a "Living National
Treasure," Misora recorded over 1,200 songs (68 million records sold)
and appeared in 160 movies during her artistic career. This limited-edition
lithographic print was designed by noted "bijin-ga" printmaker Tatsumi
Shimura during the 1950's as an LP album cover design. Rarely seen.
