| Impression |
Very Fine. Strikingly superb "bokashi" shading throughout; nicely visible woodgrain entire background; goose's
outline in deep "gauffrage"; black lacquer to wing-feathers; sharp key-lines, much fine detailing. |
| Condition |
Nearly Excellent. Deep, rich colors. Clean front and backside. Full, original margins (note "kento marks" right edge,
bottom right). (Top margin partially trimmed; slight tonging; very slight wear--otherwise flawless.) |
| Reference/Illus |
"Crow, Cranes, and Camellias" pl# K-11.18. |
| Comments |
A striking Koson image of a white-fronted goose in flight above reeds. PRE-1923 earthquake (note:
Daikoku-ya Publisher ceased business in 1923). Seldom seen. |
