| Comments | Bold, semi-abstract nude image. As early as 1938 Hagiwara worked for Takamizawa Woodblock Print Company. Following the wartime loss of his house in 1945, he became interested in self-produced “abstract” printmaking—a constant innovator, he is considered one of the best post-War “sosaku hanga” artists. Compare to Hagiwara's original "Nude" watercolor. |
