Comments |
Arguably Tokuriki's finest nighttime image. A beautifully tree-silhouetted image of teahouses seen
across Kyoto's famous Kamogawa River.
Strikingly reminiscent of Konen Uehara's famous 1928 print,
"Night Scene at Dotonbori, Osaka" (see "New Wave" pg 103).
Compare Tokuriki's "Kamogawa" image to Uehara's 1928 "Dotonbori" image.
A VERY RARELY seen print (try to find this print elsewhere). |
