Impression Very Fine. Skillfully executed "bokashi" shading (including "steam" coming from teapot); "burnishing" to give hair a layered appearance; "gauffrage" to blue left pattern and lower white of kimono; crisply detailed lines.
Condition Very Good+++. Excellent colors; clean backside. Full, original margins ("kento mark" lower right corner). (Some wrinkling/curling; few minor surface scratches, ink-stain lower left margin.)
Reference/Illus Blair "1930 Toledo Exhibition" #116; "Female Image" Pl#139, pg 108.
Comments Beautiful and highly detailed "bijin-ga" portrait--a classic "shin hanga" image. MIKI produced only 14 lifetime woodblock images, 6 "bijin-ga" and 8 landscapes. Very rare.
