Technique Painting itself is of blues, greens, tans, red, and black "sumi" colors, and white "gofun" as surf, on light tan silk.
Mounting Size Entire "kakejiku" (hanging scroll) is 15 3/4 x 78 1/4 overall.
Mounting Details Light tanish silk (artwork) mounted on dark brownish-gold silk; light tan silk top and bottom; gold cloud-patterned cream colored silk "ichimonji" brocade top/bottom; gold-patterned cream colored silk hanging "futai" at top; BONE end-pieced bottom roller.
Condition Very Good.
(Few scattered marks; light soiling--generally quite clean. Some wrinkling (mostly top), but hangs nicely.)
Comments Attractively painted image of an orange/red sun over a breaking waves--nicely mounted as a hanging scroll. A unique, truly one-of-a-kind artwork.
