Image Size Painting size: 15 1/2 x 45 1/2.
Technique Painting itself is sumi, tan, gofun (white) and gold colored pigments on light tan silk--exquisitely rendered. An exceptional piece.
Mounting Size Entire "kakejiku" (hanging scroll) is 20 1/2 x 74 1/2 overall.
Mounting Details Light tanish silk (artwork) mounted against gold water-patterned dark gold silk; brown flower-patterned cream colored silk "ichimonji" brocade top/bottom; BONE end-pieced bottom roller (one "end-cap" missing).
Condition Good to Very Good.
(Scattered spotting; moderate wear; light soiling; tiny hole upper left corner (near top). Nearly wrinkle-free, hangs nicely.)
Comments A beautifully hand-painted artwork, with wonderfully rendered snow-covered bamboo foliage--nicely mounted as a hanging scroll. A unique, truly one-of-a-kind artwork.
