||"Dragon and Lightning" (#2)
||Late-Showa period, ca1980/90.
||Painting size: 11 x 26 1/2.
||Painting itself is colored pigments on light tan silk.
||Entire "kakejiku" (hanging scroll) is 15 1/2 x 57 1/4 overall.
||Silk (artwork) mounted on cloud-patterned gold silk; narrow cloud-patterned gold silk "ichimonji" brocade
top/bottom; matching cloud-patterned gold silk brocade hanging "futai" at top; composite end-pieced bottom roller.
||Very Good+++. (Light wear.)
||Very bold. A comtemporary painting of a dragon rising above rocks and waves, amidst bolts of
lightning--nicely mounted as a hanging scroll. A unique, true one-of-a-kind artwork. (Very similar to BG-895 item,
only a bit smaller.)
