||"Moon and Pampass Grass"
||Taisho to early-Showa period, ca1920/40's.
||Painting size: 13 x 45 1/2.
||Painting itself is grey, black, brown, yellow, and white colored pigments on light tan silk--exquisitely rendered.
||Entire "kakejiku" (hanging scroll) is 17 3/4 x 73 1/2 overall.
||Tanish silk (artwork) mounted against a nicely cloud-patterned medium grey silk; brown patterned cream colored "ichimonji"
trim top/bottom; BONE end-pieced bottom roller.
(Some scattered faint stains and marks; light wear--otherwise flawless. Quite clean. Nearly wrinkle-free, hangs nicely.)
||A beautifully hand-painted artwork and wonderful composition, with fall pampass grasses silhouetted against a moonlite night sky--nicely mounted as a hanging
scroll. A unique, truly one-of-a-kind artwork.
