Technique Painting itself is of grey, black, red, and blue "sumi" colors on light tan paper.
Mounting Size Entire "kakejiku" (hanging scroll) is 18 x 81 1/2 overall.
Mounting Details Light tanish paper (artwork) mounted on medium blue silk; different light blue/green silk top and bottom; gold-patterned cream colored silk "ichimonji" brocade top/bottom; gold-patterned cream colored silk hanging "futai" at top; BONE end-pieced bottom roller.
Condition Good+++.
(Few tiny marks; two tiny holes top and some wear; soiling to bottom roller--otherwise quite clean. Some wrinkling, but hangs nicely.)
Comments Attractively painted image of an orange-red sun over a breaking "finger-wave"--nicely mounted as a hanging scroll. A unique, truly one-of-a-kind artwork.
