||"Sun, Pine, Waves"
||Early to mid-Showa period, ca1940.
||Painting size: 16 1/2 x 45 3/4.
||Painting itself is colored pigments and white "gofun" on light tan silk.
||Entire "kakejiku" (hanging scroll) is 22 x 64 1/4 overall.
||Light tanish silk (artwork) mounted on nicely cloud-patterned greyish/mauve silk; brown/white silk
"ichimonji" brocade top/bottom; BONE end-pieced bottom roller.
(Few tiny spots. Quite clean. Nearly wrinkle-free, hangs nicely.)
||A very attractively hand-painted seascape, with wonderfully depicted active waves using white "gofun" pigments--nicely mounted as a hanging
scroll. A unique, truly one-of-a-kind artwork.
