||"Kiyomizu Temple" (Large)
||Taisho or early-Showa Era (ca1910 to early 1930's).
||Found in a tiny Kyoto antique store (October 2003).
||A variety of "Scenes of Kyoto."
||Unknown--however, likely of Kyoto area.
||Large Block size: Approx 10 3/4 x 12 (x 3/4 thick).
||Very Fine. Block's front "black key-block" face showing. Also carved on BACKside (back being a differently-carved "color" block).
||Very Good to Excellent.
(Normal printing wear, but in remarkably fine condition.)
||Full-sized "chuban" woodblock (old remnants of "hanshita" still attached to upper area). Quite an unusual find. An early, hand-carved cherrywood woodblock--Taisho or early Showa period carving. Seldom available.
